Laguiole Le Pocket Classic Bocote Handle

The Laguiole Le Pocket by Gilles® Fontenille Pataud is engineered for those who seek a compact, discreet folder that retains the robust strength of a full-sized knife. This model features a precise lock-back mechanism for secure blade locking during use and specialized Teflon washers to ensure smooth, safe opening and closing.

Handcrafted in Thiers—the historic heart of French cutlery—each knife is meticulously created from start to finish by a single master artisan. This ensures unparalleled quality and a unique sense of pride in ownership. Proudly 100% Made in France.

Handle Character: This model features scales of genuine Bocote (Cordia elaeagnoides). Native to Mexico and Central America, Bocote is famous for its dramatic, zebra-like grain patterns and deep yellowish-brown colors. It is a dense, oily wood that offers a smooth, natural feel and an aesthetic that is both exotic and timeless. The knife pictured is the exact one you will receive.

The Forged Bee: A hallmark of elite craftsmanship, the "Bee" and spring are forged from a single solid piece of stainless steel. This method provides superior structural integrity and a seamless aesthetic compared to common soldered alternatives. Additionally, a solid, hardened blade stop is built into the mechanism to preserve the edge's sharpness by preventing contact with the inner spring.
